Wondering how to become a Christian?
Here is some important information you should consider:
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the Son of God who came to Earth in human form. He revealed God’s will to people through what He said and did. His life, death and resurrection were designed to bring us into a relationship with God.
What is a Christian?
A Christian is someone who believes that Jesus died, was buried and rose again. They have committed their life to following Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit to empower them to live a life which is pleasing to God.
Why should I become a Christian?
Becoming a Christian means that God forgives you and gives you His peace. It means that you start your unique journey into the purpose for which you were created. God designed you for a special purpose that only you can complete. You can find out what it is only when you have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
How can I become a Christian?
Becoming a Christian is simply taking a step of faith and inviting Jesus into your life.
If you'd like to do that, we encourage you to use this prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ,
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life (take a few moments to His forgiveness for anything particular that is on your conscience). Please forgive me. I now turn from everything that I know is wrong and I turn to you.
Thank you that you died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free.
Thank you that you offer me forgiveness and the gift of your Spirit. I now receive that gift.
Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit and be with me forever.
Thank You, Lord Jesus.
For your faith and your relationship with God to grow it's vital that you read the Bible and talk with God (pray).
We'll be happy to send you a Bible if you'd like one. You can also download free Bible Apps which contain various translations. We recommend using the NIV (New International Version) and start with the book of John; try a few verses each day and ask God to speak to you as you read it.
We'd love to hear from you and you are very welcome to make our Church your spiritual home. If you don't live nearby though or you think you'll feel more comfortable in another church setting, we pray that you will find a church that's right for you; a place where you can grow in your Christian life.
